GTA 6 Standard vs Ultimate Edition: What You Get

Last updated Official info and rumors, labeled

Quick answerStandard ($79.99) is the full game. Ultimate ($99.99) adds an exclusive collection of items tied to Jason and Lucia's story. Rockstar has not published a complete itemized list on the pages we could read.

The two editions

Two editions are on sale: Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99. Official Prices come from press coverage of Take-Two’s pre-order announcement (Variety).

We did not find any Deluxe, Premium or other tier announced. If a store lists one, treat it with care and check Rockstar’s page.

What Rockstar says

On the game’s page, Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as an exclusive collection of items tied to Jason and Lucia’s story (Rockstar). Official The page also lists a Vintage Vice City Pack as a pre-order bonus and says pre-ordering includes GTAVI: The Album, a music release. Official

Gaming Bible’s guide describes the Standard Edition as the base game plus the Vintage Vice City Pack, and the Ultimate Edition as the base game plus bonus content such as outfits, missions and vehicles (Gaming Bible). That is a news outlet’s summary, and it does not say which part is Rockstar’s wording.

The first three rows are consistent across the sources we read. Official The last row reflects a gap in what we could find, not a statement that Rockstar has not published anything.

What we are deliberately not listing

Some fan and retail sites publish detailed lists of the Ultimate extras, including specific vehicles, weapons and a count of exclusive items. We could not tie those lists to a Rockstar page, and they do not match each other in wording. We would rather leave them out than repeat details that may be wrong. Rumor / unconfirmed

Another claim circulating says some Ultimate items arrive gradually across the story rather than at the start. We could not verify it. Rumor / unconfirmed

The collector’s box

Rockstar’s page also mentions a Vice City Collection, a collector’s box sold through the Rockstar Store, in news dated October 8, 2026 (Rockstar). Official We have not found contents or a price for it that we can trust. It is a separate product from the two game editions.

So which should you buy?

We do not give purchase advice, but here is how to think about it.

  • If you want the game itself, both editions deliver it. The extra twenty dollars pays for bonus content only.
  • If you care about story-linked cosmetics and vehicles from day one, Ultimate is the version designed for that.
  • If you are undecided, the main thing you lose by waiting is the pre-order bonus window. See the preorder guide.

Interest in the premium edition appears strong. The CEO said pre-orders are skewing to it (Notebookcheck). Official An estimate that 89% of pre-orders are Ultimate is circulating, but it is an analyst’s guess. Rumor / unconfirmed

Physical or digital?

This is where reports diverge. See GTA 6 physical edition for what we could and could not confirm.

Updates

If Rockstar publishes a full itemized list, we will add it here with a link and move the details out of the “not listed” section.

FAQ

Is the Ultimate Edition worth it?

That depends on whether you want cosmetic and story-linked extras. The base game is the same in both editions, so Ultimate is a bonus-content purchase.

Is there a Deluxe Edition?

We found no announced edition other than Standard and Ultimate.

Does the Standard Edition include the Vintage Vice City Pack?

It is a pre-order bonus on both editions for eligible orders. Check the cutoff in our preorder guide.
