Beyond that single fact, the details disagree. This is the part to read before you click redeem.
Where the sources conflict

The renewal price is the figure most likely to matter, and it is the one where three sources give three numbers. Do not rely on any of them. The price you will be charged is the one shown on your PlayStation or Xbox account when you redeem.
How to avoid a surprise charge

- Read the redemption screen. Look for the words “renews” or “then” followed by a price.
- Set a calendar reminder a few days before the free month ends.
- Know where to cancel. Subscriptions bought through a console store are managed in that store’s account settings, not on a game publisher’s site.
