GTA 6 News: Miami Takeover, Phone Apps and Narrow Roads (Oct 21)

Four weeks before launch, most of the news is marketing and previews, not new gameplay facts. Here is what is out, with how much each item can be trusted.

Vice City marketing in Miami

BroBible reports that a Vice City-branded campaign runs in Miami from October 15 through the end of 2026, with fictional ads, a blimp, themed Metrorail pillars and beach chairs marked “VI” or “Vice City” (BroBible). Reported The article names Rockstar as the company behind it but includes no Rockstar statement. The same piece links a line of exotic cars on Ocean Drive to a rumored promotional shoot. Rumor / unconfirmed Treat the shoot as a rumor until Rockstar says otherwise.

Miami Heat “A Night in Vice City”

Kotaku reports that the Miami Heat announced the event on October 2, set for November 18, the day before launch, with a themed court and Vice City uniforms. The Heat’s own post reads “A Night in Vice City tips off November 18” (Kotaku). Reported Kotaku says Rockstar is teaming up with the team.

Phone apps: names are still unconfirmed

IBTimes lists app names for the in-game phone, citing unnamed “preview reporting.” It also notes that Rockstar has not published a complete list (IBTimes). Narrower roads in Vice City

Jason Schreier of Bloomberg shared extra interview material in a video in which art director Aaron Garbut says Vice City’s roads are noticeably narrower than Los Santos’, with heavier traffic. Reported An earlier piece by GTAbase, dated September 5, said Rockstar had already described narrower Vice City roads, without naming who said it (GTAbase). Already official
