Is GTA 6 Coming to PC? What Has Been Announced
What Rockstar has said
Rockstar’s game page lists two platforms for the November 19, 2026 launch: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (Rockstar). Official PC is not on that page. No PC release date, PC requirements or PC store page has been announced as of 2026-10-19.
That is the whole official picture. The rest of this guide is about the speculation, and how to read it.
Where the PC dates come from
Search for “GTA 6 PC release date” and you will find specific dates. These are guesses. One site predicts late 2027 to early 2028 and attaches a predicted install size of 180 to 220 GB (Vice City Return). Rumor / unconfirmed Rockstar did not say any of that, and we found no source that ties those numbers to the publisher.
Most roundups we read are careful to say a PC version is not announced. A few treat a later PC release as a safe assumption. It may turn out to be true. It is still not an announcement. Rumor / unconfirmed
The pattern people point to
Fans often point to Grand Theft Auto V, which launched on consoles first and reached PC more than a year later, as the model. The roundups we read use it as a precedent (Grindout). Rumor / unconfirmed A past pattern is not a plan, and Rockstar might do something different this time.
What “no PC at launch” means in practice
- If you play on PC only, you have no confirmed way to play on November 19, 2026.
- There is nothing to pre-order for PC. Any store page that claims otherwise should be treated with suspicion.
- Hardware requirements do not exist yet, so ignore “minimum specs” lists.
Scams and fake listings
Whenever a big game has no PC version, fake download pages and “key” sellers appear. We have not seen a specific scam traced to GTA 6, but a few habits protect you:
- Buy only from the platform stores that Rockstar links on its page.
- Be wary of any “PC download” or “beta key” for this game, because no PC version has been announced.
- Never enter your account details on a site reached from a social media ad.
What about PS4 and Xbox One?
Rockstar’s page does not list previous-generation consoles (Rockstar). Official The two launch platforms are the current ones.
What to watch
Two places would carry a PC announcement before anywhere else: Rockstar’s newswire and its game page. Parent company Take-Two Interactive may also mention platforms in its quarterly earnings. We watch these and update this page and the site’s data the day anything is announced.
